Turkey has ordered new low-level air defense systems to be delivered starting in 2003. These will be produced by the Aselsan company. Seventy ATILGAN systems will provide protection for mobile Army units. A gyro-stabilized turret on an M113 carries eight Stinger missiles. Seventy-eight ZIPKIN systems will provide defense for fixed installations. Mounted on a truck, each system has four Stinger missiles.--Stephen V Cole
