South Korean warships fired warning shots at North Korean fishing boats that steamed into South Korean waters. North Korea is apparently trying to get South Korea to allow North Korean ships access to South Korean waters. The economic benefits would be substantial, saving time and fuel for North Korean freighters coming from other nations, particularly Japan, and additional fish for North Korean fishing boats.
